I had wanted to try some Kosmos Q products for a while and finally purchased the Cow Cover Hot and man I was not disappointed! I used it along with the Texas Beef on a brisket and it came out tasting amazing!
I never knew I would like a hot steak until I tried this rub.
Today was the first day the weather has let me fire up the grill since I got this in the mail. Grabbed a 20oz ribeye and gave it a hit of Cow Cover Hot along with some Texas Beef. Hands down one of the best steaks I've made. Cow Cover Hot gives a great flavor and color with just the right amount of heat. I'll definitely be purchasing more of Kosmos stuff, if not all of it, before summer rolls around.
I decided to try this rub after listening to and watching Youtube videos from Cosmo and the Googans. First reaction: way too much salt in the rub. Maybe it's the fact that I haven't cooked with salt for 15 years, or I like my steak with no additives on any occasion, who knows. The first two bites were awful to get through. After that. Second reaction: the after taste and heat. This was much more enjoyable. The rub had the right amount of heat and additional flavor to bring a great taste to a good cut of meat. This was by far the best part of this rub. It brought out the right aromas and tastes to compliment the T-bone I put on the grill. The heat and flavors I experienced were great. It left me wanting more. Do I recommend this rub to anyone, no. Do I recommend this rub to those who want a different flavor profile and experience when grilling, cooking, or making steak, yes, one-hundred percent. It's absolutely worth the investment, but tough to get through the first few bites if you don't grill your own meat regularly and use minimal salt or additives.
5 stars for flavor, can't say the same about the shipping cost. Probably won't order anymore online. To bad I can't buy it locally here in the Atlanta area.

Cow Cover Hot has been my go to rub on anything beef ever since it came out. I use it brisket, burgers, and have used it all year in SCA steak contest. Excellent rub with great balance of flavor and color.
This is a really good rub. It tastes spicy on it's own, but when it is cooked into food, that heat doesn't carry over too much and just gives you a very savory flavor.
