Smoked pigs in a blanket are a great snack to cook on their own, but you can also turn them into a fun side project. If there's space next to that pork butt on your smoker, why not use it?
But let's not waste any more time - let's get those tasty bites ready for the heat. Open up the crescent rolls, and tear them apart at the perforated edge. Using a small pairing knife, cut each roll into three pieces.
Now let's add some flavor! Season the inside of each rool with a light coat of Sweet Honey Pecan rub. Then roll a tiny sausage into the crescent roll. Continue this process until all are wrapped.
Place the wrapped pigs in a blanket on a banking sheet. Spray over the top of the rolls with some cooking spray, and cover the outside of the rolls with Spicy Killer Bee Chipotle Honey rub to your liking.
Finally, time to move them to the smoker! Make sure that it's preheated (or already cooking!) at around 275ºF (135ºC).
Place the pigs in a blanket on the grates (a grill mat might help get the perfect even cooking). Close the lid and bake for 9-12 mins. Check at around 6 mins to see how they are turning out, and rotate if necessary.
After the time is up, bring the crescent dogs inside. Let them cool for about 5 minutes. Plate, with a ramekin of Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce in the middle of the dish that you can dip these bites in. Then serve to your football party, office party, or your family!
