5 Ingredient Burgers

Not to brag, but these 5 Ingredient Burgers might just become your new go-to burger recipe. They're juicy, cheesy, packed with bold beefy flavor, and couldn't be easier to make. With just a handful of simple ingredients and a hot grill, you'll have a seriously delicious burger on the table in no time. Let's get to it.

You Will Need

  • 2 Pounds 80/20 Ground Beef
  • 2 Tablespoons Kosmos Q Texas Beef Rub
  • 4 Burger Buns
  • 4 Slices American Cheese
  • 4 Tablespoons Mayonnaise

Optional Toppings

  • Tomato Slices
  • Shredded Lettuce
  • Pickles
  • Raw Onion

The Prep

Great burgers don't need a complicated ingredient list. Start with good ground beef, bold seasoning, and let the grill do the rest.

Place the ground beef in a bowl and gently divide it into 4 equal portions. Form each portion into a burger patty about ½ inch thick. Try not to overwork the meat—you want those burgers to stay tender and juicy.

Now season both sides generously with Kosmos Q Texas Beef Rub. That's all you need to bring big, bold flavor to every bite.

The Grill Setup

Preheat your grill or griddle to medium-high heat, around 400–450°F (204–232°C).

Give the cooking surface plenty of time to heat up before the burgers go down. A hot grill helps create that beautiful crust on the outside while keeping the inside nice and juicy.

The Cook

Place the burger patties directly on the hot grill and let them cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on the first side.

Flip the burgers once and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, depending on your preferred level of doneness.

During the final minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on top of each burger. Close the lid, if you're using a grill, and let that cheese melt into gooey, delicious perfection.

While the burgers finish cooking, place the buns cut-side down on the grill. Toast them for about 30 to 60 seconds until they're lightly golden and ready to hold all that juicy goodness.

The Payoff

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise onto each toasted bun, then add your cheesy burger patty.

Keep it simple or load it up with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, and raw onion. Either way, you're only a few ingredients away from a seriously good burger.

Serve them hot with chips, fries, or your favorite BBQ side, and enjoy.

Sometimes, simple really is better.
