You Will Need

The Prep

This is meant to be a quick & easy burger recipe, so you can go from lighting up the grill to cracking open a cold one ASAP. That being said, feel free to customize the recipe to whatever you like!

Let's get started! Get your grill up and running. For this cook you're aiming for a cooking temperature of 300ºF (149ºC) throughout the cook. Slice the mushrooms and onion, and prepare the rest of your ingredients.

The Cook

While grill is heating up, place a pan over medium-high heat on your stove top. In it, melt the butter, then add the sliced mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the sliced onions and season with Sizzlin Burger rub. Cook until mushrooms and onions are soft, then pull off the heat and set aside.

When the mushrooms and onions are ready, and the grill is hot, it's time to flip some burgers! Cook each patty for 5-8 minutes per side, to your preferred crispness. Then add some cheese to each one, and let it melt over the patty.

The Payoff

When everything else is done, give the buns a quick toast, then assemble your mushroom swiss burger! Top the cheesy patty with the mushroom and onion mix, hit it with some of that Sizzlin' Burger rub for some extra kick, and you're good to go.

We hope you enjoy your burgers! Once again, thanks to Matt Eppright of  thicc.n.smokey for sharing this one with us.
