Easy, cheap, and above all delicious, this smoked tortellini and sausage casserole has all the right ingredients to become your next favorite comfort food recipe!
Yet another killer recipe from Kaiden Blake of Kbs_outdoor_kitchen - he really knocked it out of the park with this one!
Let's keep this one simple: get your ingredients, measure out everything you'll need, and get all the pans and utensils that will be used. Oil or spray the pan, and set it aside. Lastly, fire up your smoker - for this one, you want it running at 300ºF (149ºC).
Grab a bowl, and toss the tortellini with olive oil, garlic and pesto until fully coated. Then move it to the oiled pan.
Next, cut up the sausage links, into chunks as big (or small) as you like. Add the cut up sausage to the pan, and season with Dirty Bird. Then add the spinach, and top with your cheese mix. Now place the pan on your smoker, close the lid, and let the magic happen!
Let the casserole sit on the smoke for 20-25 minutes. It's a quick cook, so it's a great opportunity to do it alongside other cooks like candied bacon or chicken wings.
When the casserole is done, pull it off the heat. Let it rest for no more than 5 minutes, then serve and eat while the cheese is all gooey and delicious!
Thanks again to Kaiden Blake of Kbs_outdoor_kitchen for this recipe. Catch you on the next one!
