UNBELIEVABLE Bourbon Steak Marinade!

UNBELIEVABLE Bourbon Steak Marinade!

Get ready to indulge in a culinary delight with our mouthwatering smoked, then fried ribeye steak recipe. With a sizzling sear and a burst of flavors, this is a steak experience you won't want to miss!

You Will Need

The Prep

Start by mixing the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Whisk them together to ensure everything is well combined and the flavors meld together harmoniously. Next, trim off any excess fat or silver skin from the steaks, if necessary.

Pour the marinade into a ziplock bag, and place the ribeye steaks in the bag. Let them soak in all that goodness for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. This allows the flavors to penetrate the meat, enhancing its taste and tenderness.

When the time is nearing, it's time to preheat your cooker! Set it to a blazing 550°F (287°C). You want the grill to be scorching hot to achieve that beautiful sear and caramelization on the steak.

The Cook

Once the steaks are marinated and the pit is hot, remove the steaks from the bag and generously season all sides with SPG and Cow Cover Hot. These seasonings add an extra kick and depth of flavor to the steak, making each bite a true delight.

Prepare the grill grates by giving them a light coating of Duck Fat spray, then throw the steaks right on the hot grill! Let them cook for precisely 1 minute and 20 seconds on each side. This ensures even cooking and a gorgeous char on both sides.  To achieve those classic grill marks, rotate the steaks 90 degrees and cook for another 1 minute and 20 seconds on each side.

Move the steak away from the heat source (over indirect heat), and continue cooking the steaks until they reach an internal temperature of 125°F (52°C) for medium-rare. Once cooked to perfection, remove the steaks from the cooker and allow them to rest for 10 to 20 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a tender and juicy steak.

The Payoff

Now comes the moment you've been waiting for! Slice into those beautifully seared ribeye steaks and savor the incredible flavors. The rich and smoky aromas will tantalize your senses, while the perfectly cooked steak melts in your mouth.

Serve the ribeye steaks alongside your favorite sides, such as grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
